Metglas Brazing Foil & Preforms

Brazing Foil (MBF) by Metglas Inc. has now entered into the automobile and motorcycle industry via its innovative use for brazing catalytic converters. A more efficient, with low back pressure, corrosion resistant, and faster heating metal catalytic substrate (MCS) can be produced, using a completely automated one step process, with a metallic catalyst support instead of a ceramic substrate. Thin foil, 18-20 µm (0.7-0.8 mil) provides strong joints while decreasing base metal erosion.
